What is Meditation and Yoga?

What Is Meditation?

The generic meaning of meditation is the “healing of the mind or to take control of the mind”. This is because the mind, a faculty of the soul, is very inquisitive, curious and travels with great speed. In reality, the mind is where all the thoughts are created or generated. It is similar to an antenna where all signals are received. On average, while one is awake, 25-40 thoughts per minute enter the mind of which less than 10 percent are positive. The rest are idle, wasteful, or negative.

In scientific terms, meditation simply means the management of your thoughts. It is to have the ability to think of what you want and when you want, without interference from other thoughts. Meditation is to develop the ability to concentrate on a particular subject without being attracted and influenced by the five senses, the five vices, and the five elements.

Meditation word is derived from the Latin word “meditatio” which means “to think” to contemplate. An approach of regulating the thought waves in which we begin to transform all our physical energy into spiritual energy. It doesn’t mean the absence of thoughts but generating and experiencing more and more positive and empowering thoughts in present.

What Is Yoga?

Yoga, which is associated with meditation, simply means to have a union or make connections with some object, subject, person, or God. However, yoga is usually associated with spirituality. Yoga is to have a connection and to have dialogue or sweet conversation with the divine source of inspiration, whom many call God. The true meaning of yoga is the union of body, mind, and soul. Yoga is much more than yoga asana; this path can also take you on an interior journey to meet your true self. asana refers to the physical postures that help the body prepare for deep meditation. It’s thought that yoga postures were originally meant to be held for longer periods of time in stillness, it should be both comfortable and easy. Asana enables the soul to stabilize the self and the body, which ultimately leads the soul to Absolution. It keeps the body healthy, strong, and in harmony with nature.

Why We Need To Do Meditation?

Some studies show that meditation can decrease stress, increase focus and even provide relief from illness. meditation is a distraction technology we need now more than ever with our busy lives. it is important to simply sit and watch your thoughts

Due to the coronavirus and other pandemics, today we all are surrounded by negative vibrations around us, which is creating fear and anxiety within us, we need to understand that it’s a global challenge and response has to be collective by keeping our environment positive. The emotional vibration is getting negative and full of stress, we need to separate our minds from such situations and need to change our vocabulary to make our environment positive. Our Vedic scripture states that a spiritual master or Guru can help reach divine knowledge, but you can do that source with you too, all you have to do is to try, by becoming master of your mind and senses. today we need to constantly use affirmations during such crucial times by self-chanting meditation that I am powerful, I am peaceful, my body is perfect, healthy, and will always be. I am safe and secure, my family and my world are safe and secure, our world is protected by God’s power and energy.

Meditation is one thing unfortunately for many of us is never taught, the technique of controlling the mind; even though that is the most important element to remain calm in today’s chaotic world. Everyone needs to meditate in today’s world as it is an opportunity to become the best that you can become; and unless we explore experiments, we don’t know what is to come. It’s an opportunity for you to experience your inner beauty.

7 Chakra Meditation (Part 2)

Know Your 7 Chakras  Nāḍī (Sanskrit: नाडी, lit. 'tube, pipe, nerve, blood vessel, pulse') is a term for the channels through which, in traditional Indian medicine and spiritual knowledge, the energies such as prana of the physical body, the subtle body, and the causal body are said to flow. the Nadis are said to connect at special points of intensity, the chakras. All Nadis are said to originate from one of two centers; the heart and the Kanda, the latter being an egg-shaped bulb in the pelvic area, just below the navel. The three principal Nadis run from the base of the spine to the head and are the Ida on the left, the Sushumna in the center, and the Pingala on the right. Ultimately the goal is to unblock these Nadis to bring liberation.  In this universe everything is vibration, every chakra has a different frequency and has a particular sound and colors.
