Yoga is an experiential science. One needs to practice asanas or poses to understand the beauty of Yoga. The aim of Yoga is to bring harmony between the body, breath and mind. Yoga includes asanas which can be practiced by anyone – be it as a beginner, intermediate or advanced level.

Once you begin, you need strength and flexibility to move on to the next level of asanas practice. People have a wrong notion that Yoga is only about twisting, bending, or stretching. The true purpose of easy and difficult Yoga asanas is to create awareness and build the physical and mental strength of an individual.

Yoga poses, requires immense strength, flexibility, regular practice, steadiness, and stability to perform the asana, achieve the final position, and maintain the asana for a minute.

First, we begin with physical asana and then gradually advance towards keeping a psychological equilibrium in every kind of environment or situation. Yoga is the ultimate path by which the highest objectives of life can be accomplished. Yoga is one of the gentle ways of developing not just on the physical level, but also psychologically. Starting with basic Yoga asana practice prepares an individual to improve daily activities, inculcate good food habits, thoughts and conduct. You can practice basic Pranayamas with are essentially basic breathing exercises for a beginner in Yoga to achieve peace of mind. (Pranayama Yoga It is a process of controlling the breath that helps to calm the mind and senses. All movement should be smooth, rhythmic and non-jerky. This is a beneficial technique to overcome your emotions and calm your mind.)

Yoga Asanas– Yoga asanas are done to improve your physical fitness and to clean the internal organs of the body. Yoga asanas when done correctly gives you the strength and builds your immunity that helps to fight the diseases.

The true meaning of yoga is the union of body, mind, and soul. Yoga is much more than yoga asana; this path can also take you on an interior journey to meet your true self. asana refers to the physical postures that help the body prepare for deep meditation. It’s thought that yoga postures were originally meant to be held for longer periods of time in stillness, it should be both comfortable and easy. Asana enables the soul to stabilize the self and the body, which ultimately leads the soul to Absolution. It keeps the body healthy, strong, and in harmony with nature. 

Asana itself is fundamentally an asset of building blocks these positions are designed to bring us into the now, they are focusing techniques. When we focus on breath and sensation of the body, those occurring in real-time; they are always happening in the present.

Practice is a state of being in the reality with what’s going on right now in my body, in my mind, in my day, in my life.

An asana is a posture. There are innumerable postures your body can take. Among these, certain postures have been identified as “yoga asanas” or yogasanas. Yoga means that which takes you on to a higher dimension or higher perception of life. So, that kind of posture which leads you to a higher possibility is called a “yogasana.”
