The Universe (Dimensions of Universe) Part 3

 Dimensions of Universe

The human body and the cosmos itself, is essentially made of 5 elements - space, air, fire, water and earth.
The Earth element represents solid matter and the structure of the universe. Earth gives form to the human body, and to all of creation. whereas fire, earth, air, and water were earthly and corruptible, since no changes had been perceived in the heavenly regions, the stars cannot be made out of any of the four elements but must be made of a different, unchangeable, heavenly substance.

We are  aware of the three dimensions that surround us on a daily basis – those that define the length, width, and depth of all objects in our universes (the x, y, and z axis, respectively).

Many of you are very familiar with the 1st through 3rd dimensions of space and observation. Beyond these three visible dimensions, scientists believe that there may be many more. In fact, the theoretical framework of Superstring Theory posits that the Universe exists in ten different dimensions. These different aspects govern the Universe, the fundamental forces of nature, and all the elementary particles contained within.

The first dimension, gives it length (the x-axis). object that is a straight line, which exists only in terms of length. Add to it a second dimension, the y-axis (or height), and you get an object that becomes a 2-dimensional shape (like a square).

The third dimension involves depth (the z-axis), and gives all objects a sense of area and a cross-section. The perfect example of this is a cube, which exists in three dimensions and has a length, width, depth, and hence volume. Beyond these three lie the seven dimensions which are not immediately apparent to us, but which can be still be perceived as having a direct effect on the universe and reality as we know it.

Scientists believe that the fourth dimension is time, which governs the properties of all known matter at any given point.

But in the yogic understanding their are spiritual dimensions of reality beyond 5D. Humans can experience all dimensions through meditation, hypnosis, lucid dreaming, out-of-body experiences, hallucinogenic plants and drugs, prayer, and many other spiritual-related modalities. Each dimension of reality has a distinct set of laws that govern what beings can and cannot do in them.

Whether it is the individual human body or the larger cosmic body, essentially, they are made of five elements or the pancha bhutas – earth, water, fire, air and akasha.

Everything in nature is made up of five basic elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space. Knowledge of the five elements allows the yogi to understand the laws of nature and to use yoga to attain greater health, power, knowledge, wisdom and happiness. This arises out of deep intuition of how the universe operates. also these 5 elements are is the basis of all cosmic creation.

Each of the five elements represents a state of matter in nature. Solid matter is classified as the “Earth” element. Water is everything that is liquid. Air is everything that is a gas. Fire is that part of Nature that transforms one state of matter into another. Ether is the mother of the other elements and is the basis of higher spiritual experiences.

Air provides earth with subtle movements seen on a subatomic level. Fire (energy) is latent within earth, bound by the chemical bonds of nature that hold structure together. Water is also inherent within earth. Water is the bridge between the gaseous state of mater and the solid state.

All of the creation is made up of the five elements in different proportions. The Human body is also the product of these 5 elements in different proportions. 72% water, 12% earth, 6% air, 4% fire and the rest is Ether. Usually, the percentages of the first four elements remain constant but the percentage of Ether can be enhanced. Each element is responsible for different structures in the body.

Space is the most subtle of all elements and is present in the hollow cavities of the body in the form of radio frequencies, light radiation, cosmic rays, etc.

The “Prana” (vital force) in the human body is also directly connected to these 5 elements. The Law of Nature demands these elements to be in balance.

The elements or the Pancha Maha Bhutas as the Vedas describe them are the fundamental building blocks of the Universe. These 5 elements are the essence of the entire world, both within you and outside, so it is more than essential to connect with them for tapping into the powers of the Universe. It might seem rather surprising but the 5 elements influence behaviour, emotions, and overall health. Balancing these elements in just the right way is the key to a happy and healthy life. If we take some time to understand the elements and relate to them, we can use them to stay in balance physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally.

All elements are born of ether and contained within earth.Ether provides earth the space to exist within.

the sixth element, after earth, air, fire, water and space. as the four terrestrial elements were changeable and transient, but the planets and stars were eternal and thus must be made of a different substance that transcended the earthly four. He called it ether.

Everything is consciousness, then how does this conscious energy transforms into material entity.   The entire cosmos begins from the point of the  5 fundamental elements. In order to bridge the wide gap between consciousness and apparently durable matter,  all physical things are constituted of five subtle elements  called  Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Ether. These five great elements represent the universe of matter-energy.

These are not the elements, but are actually subtle conditions which together create the perception of forms which can be sensed by the human mind.

Ether is space, stillness, that which contains and holds. Ether is the element that connect us to spirit, intuition, other realms and planes. The element ether is the most subtle of the elements, it is the essence of emptiness. It is the space the other elements fill.

But in the yogic understanding, there are 16 dimensions of the human mind which are connected to the spiritual dimensions of the Universe. These 16 dimensions fall into four categories. These four categories are known as buddhi, manas, ahankara, and Chitta. Buddhi is the intellect – the logical dimension of thought.

In general, Lower Dimensions are dense, heavy, rigid, complex, hidden, and narrowly focused. They have lower frequency vibrations or energies, and a greater sense of individuality and separation. Because of their lower frequency, they are not able to hold as much knowledge and awareness. We, humans, look at them as negative or bad, though that is not true.

In general, Higher Dimensions are light, transparent, flexible, less complex, and more broadly encompassing and inclusive. They have higher frequency vibrations and are able to hold more knowledge and awareness, including an increased sense of universal oneness and less individuality.

spiritualists believe that “Lower” and “Higher” refer to rates of vibration. They believe that the overall frequencies of Higher dimensions are faster than Lower dimensions.

spiritual knowledge, positive thinking, and cosmic energy(power of the subconscious mind) is the current that charges the soul. when we are in delta sleep we automatically receive this cosmic energy, otherwise, we can receive cosmic energy only through meditation. this cosmic energy comes from the 10th dimension where God leaves.

10th dimension is the unperceived’ dimensions have on reality, eventually building up to a theory of what God is and where such a being would or could exist in the universe. God is a 10th-dimensional being able to observe and interact with the 1st through 10th dimensions. We, as human beings are limited to 3-dimensional space and therefore can’t observe beyond that, with the arguable exception of time being the 4th dimension. This means that God would have the ability to interact with our physical universe in ways that many would perceive to be miracles or impossible events in the natural world. God is all-knowing, justifying the argument in physics that anything that is possible can and will happen with God being able to observe every intricacy and every movement and feature of the multiverse. God, also being all-powerful has the ability to interact with the universe at any given time.

Yog Asana-Techniques For Physical Comfort

Yog Asana-Techniques For Physical Comfort Yoga is an experiential science. One needs to practice asanas or poses to understand the beauty of Yoga. The aim of Yoga is to bring harmony between the body, breath and mind. Yoga includes asanas which can be practiced by anyone – be it as a beginner, intermediate or advanced level. Once you begin, you need strength and flexibility to move on to the next level of asanas practice. People have a wrong notion that Yoga is only about twisting, bending, or stretching. The true purpose of easy and difficult Yoga asanas is to create awareness and build the physical and mental strength of an individual. Yoga poses, requires immense strength, flexibility, regular practice, steadiness, and stability to perform the asana, achieve the final position, and maintain the asana for a minute. First, we begin with physical asana and then gradually advance towards keeping a psychological equilibrium in every kind of environment or situation. Yoga is t...

Shad-Darshana–The Six Orthodox Indian Philosophies.

Shad-Darshana–The Six Orthodox Indian Philosophies. In India philosophy originated as an exploration of mystery of life and existence. Indian philosophy refers to a number of philosophical traditions that arouse in Indian subcontinent. The Indian philosophies are divided into two classes, namely, Nastika (non- believers in the Vedas as supreme) and Astika (believers in the Vedas). The Nastik philosophies are Buddhist, Jain and Charvaka. Astika philosophies are six in number they are called Shad Darshana.
